Brief: Transform Sierra from a cheap-party brand into a lifestyle brand for urban Gen Z. Insight: Tequila bleeds Mexican culture. The rawest expression lives in street tattoos — earned, personal, impossible to fake. Idea: Special Edition bottles drawn from the visual language of Mexican gang tattoos. A brand that wears its culture, doesn't borrow it. Result: Top 5 Cannes Young Lions Germany. Launched live — a tattoo artist inked the bottle designs directly onto guests at the event. ### Astra: St. Pauli Urtype Label redesign for Hamburg's iconic Astra beer at Saint Elmo's Munich. Insight: Astra isn't beer — it's a social badge from St. Pauli. Modernising it didn't mean cleaning it up — it meant turning the volume higher. Idea: Raw typographic energy, hand-crafted illustrations and graffiti-inspired elements. The bottle as urban art, not corporate product. Result: Top 5 Cannes Young Lions Germany. ### The Dialogue Zine Editorial design project at Hochschule Düsseldorf. ADC Bronze 2024. Insight: After two years of pandemic isolation, design students had learned to work alone and forgotten how to think together. Idea: A zine that could only be made through dialogue — every spread a collaboration between two strangers. You can't force a conversation, but you can design the conditions for one. Result: The workshop was the brief. The zine was the proof it worked. ### HAIX Future Boots 2099 AI-directed product visualisation series for HAIX professional boots. Four boots, four environments (orbit, ocean, sky, urban vertical). Each image framed as an action cam capture — a product leak from 2099. Tools: AI image generation, art direction, naming system. ### Penny Marketing Wall 14-square-metre mural illustration for Penny's Cologne HQ marketing floor. A full character world built from scratch — making the marketing floor feel like a neighbourhood, not an office. Characters, world-building, sticker system, and animated GIFs. ### Nexen Tire: Heritage Sticker Collection Brand design for Nexen Tire's 85th anniversary. Nine collectible stickers across three design registers — each one redraws a different decade of Nexen's visual history for today. ### Witeblaze: Fitness Tattoos Brand identity and illustration system for sports sub-brand Witeblaze. Tattoo aesthetics as brand language — animal characters, handlettered slogans, sticker packs and animated GIFs. ### Open Ohr Festival — Illustration System Character illustration series for Germany's oldest political festival, 2023 edition themed "Irr:relevant". Six archetypes each embodying a different mental health trigger — printed as posters and tote bags, handed directly to festival visitors. ## Target Agencies (Munich & Germany) Serviceplan Group · Jung von Matt · BBDO Munich · thjnk · Avangarde · Territory · Büro Borsche · KMS Team · Ogilvy Munich · Grey Munich · David+Martin · Saint Elmo's ## Target Editorial Clients Süddeutsche Zeitung · SZ Magazin · Die Zeit · Zeit Magazin · Der Spiegel · brand eins · Stern · GEO · NZZ · international editorial publications ## Dream Brand Clients Nike · Fritz Kola · Liquid Death · Oatly · MSCHF · Adidas · Red Bull ## Availability Yannik Bröhl is available for Art Director, Brand Designer, Communication Designer, Visual Designer and Illustrator positions — full-time or freelance — at agencies, design studios and editorial publishers in Munich and internationally.
